Three French Tourists Arrested Over Fake Bank Notes in Morocco

Marrakech – Three French tourists were arrested, Monday morning in Marrakech, for their alleged possession and circulation of counterfeit banknotes.

The suspects, aged 29 to 30, used several fake bank notes to pay their hotel bills in Marrakech, a security source said, adding that police identified and arrested them in possession of other fakes bank notes.

During search operations, the police seized 25 counterfeit euro banknotes.

The defendants were subjected to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to look into this case and determine its potential ramifications.
