Morocco: Man Arrested for Stabbing Three Popole, Including Two Britons
Agadir – Moroccan police arrested, on Thursday in Agadir, a man who stabbed three people, including two Britons.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspect, aged 33 with a criminal record, stabbed a British couple and a Moroccan-born Belgian woman while they were at the beach, before he threw himself into the water to try to swim away, a security source said.
The victims received the necessary first aid, the same source noted, adding that two people, suffering from superficial injuries, left the hospital, while the third victim is still in hospital for injury.
Investigations show that the suspect had been sentenced to jail in 2020 for drug and psychotropic drug trafficking.
He was placed in police custody pending judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to shed light on the real motivations and circumstances of these criminal acts.
